The Village Hall was first opened in 1926 and continues to be used actively today for village social events, exercise classes, exhibitions and private hire, as well as by the village school. The hall also has a 100 Club which contributes towards the funding needed to cover the routine running costs of the hall. In 2017 the village hall charity status changed to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and is managed by a committee of trustees from the local village community.
Over the years the hall has played an important role in the village with many important events being held in the hall. A list of events in the hall's history is shown below.

The history of events held at the hall and significant landmarks
1925 - Land acquired in September for ther building of village hall.
1926 - Parish room accounts start in April. Hall lit by two paraffin lamps and heated by two slow combustion solid fuel stoves. Insurance exclusions are no dramatic performances requiring the use of scenery and no cinematograph entertainment. Piano acquired. First whist drive and dance.
1927 - Dressmaking classes.
1927-1930 - Men's club meetings.
1927-1964 - WI meetings.
1928 - Collections for building of cloakroom.
1928-1957 - Whist drives held most years.
1930-1935 - Slate club.
1933-1936 - Football club meetings.
1935-1936 - Cricket club meetings.
1936-1938 - Ricardo rhythmists.
1937 - Coronation committee.
1937-1941 - Nursing association meetings.
1938 - Keep fit classes. Slate club.
1939 - Thrift club.
1941-1944 - Home Guard hire hall on regular basis.
1946 - Agricultural Workers Union meeting. Piano sold.
1949 - Electric lighting installed. Cold Aston Youth Club.
1950 - New solid fuel stove installed.
1953 - Coronation committee.
1955-1957 - Civil defence lectures and meetings hired by Northleach Rural District Council.
1956-1957 - Young Wives Fellowship.
1957-1960 - Village hall hired regularly as waiting room for Mobile Child Welfare Centre when it visits village. Note posted to users of hall requesting to empty the bucket in the ladies cloakroom after each function. Purchase of chemical lavatory (Destrol Kemflush Closet).
1961 - Hall considered as storage and distribution point for processed milk during nuclear tests scare of fresh milk for very young children. Ministry of Health state no likelihood that the nuclear tests which have occurred so far will raise the Iodine in milk in any part of the country to a level which would make it unfit for children under one. Scheme therefore not implemented.
1962 - Last coal delivery.
1963 - Electric heating installed. Youth Club.
1966 - Bingo evenings held in many of these years.
1979 - New toilet and wash basin.
1989 - New kitchen.
1996 - Land registered to trustees of hall.
1997 - Cold Aston Village Hall registered as a charitable trust. Land held in trust by Official Custodian for Charities for Cold Aston Village Hall charity. Major fund raising initiative - events include Quiz night, Scottish evening, Dickensian evening. Kitchen improvements.
1999 - Theatre Supper.
2000 - Open day. Quiz night.
2001 - 75th Anniversary.
2006 - Tea Party to celebrate hall’s 80th birthday.
2010 - Hank Wangford and The Lost Cowboys perform
2012 - Hank Wangford and The Lost Cowboys perform again
2013 - Bex & Franks perform; Tweedy performance; Canopy extension and french doors
2015 - Ginny Davis performance; New roof
2016 - 90th Anniversary of the hall!
2017 - Hall charity status changed to Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) (from December 2017)
2018 - Murder Mystery Evening using Ann Cleeves' script
2002-currently - monthly village coffee mornings with 100 Club draw; monthly film nights during the winter months, regular yoga, ballet and upholstery classes. Fund raising events including Burns' Nights, quiz nights, promises auction, theatre suppers.
